The Gospel (Good News) begins with bad news:

God, Who is Holy,1  Made us in His Image, to know Him.2  But we sinned, and cut ourselves off from Him (Originally in our first parents, then individually).3  In our sin we have earned God’s eternal wrath, we deserve hell. We are dead in our sins.4

That’s the bad news, but there is very Good News:

In His great love, God became a man in Jesus, lived a perfect life, a life we could never live, and died on the cross.5  In this, Jesus, Himself, fulfilled the law on the believer’s behalf.f Jesus also took upon Himself the deserved punishment of all who would ever turn and trust in Him.  He paid their sin debt.6 Jesus rose again from the dead on the third day, fshowing that God accepted Christ’s sacrifice, and that God’s wrath against all believers had been satisfied.7

God now calls you to repent of your sins and to trust in Christ alone for yourf forgiveness and salvation.8  If you repent of your sins and trust in Christ, you are born again into a new life, an eternal life with God, forever His child.9
