Have you not known? Have you not heard?  The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.  He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.  Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;

        but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;

               they shall mount up with wings like eagles;

               they shall run and not be weary;

               they shall walk and not faint.

                                                            (Isaiah 40:28-31 ESV)

Eagle Heights Baptist Church has recieved sad and wonderful news...

Our dear brother, Dave Cook and his family have been called to a foreign land.  A land where the inhabitants do not sweeten their tea, nor do they know the meaning (let alone the merits) of a Hot Brown, and should they ever mistakenly partake of grits, they would most likely do so with sugar.  Please be in prayer for this brave family as the travel to a strange and foreboding land.

Dave Cook has been called to a new ministry.  He has accepted the position of Associate Pastor of Music at Osterville Baptist Church in Osterville, Massachusetts.  His last Sunday with us will be on the 19th of September.  We are excited for Dave, Emily, and Sarah, as well as for Osterville BC.  This will be a wonderful time as we see God’s provision for the Cooks in terms of a their ministry, His provision for Osterville BC in terms of giving them a minister who loves the Lord, and God’s provision for Eagle Heights BC in terms of how He will bring the man He has prepared for serving with us here.   The 19th will be a sad time for us because we will be losing a beloved family from within our church family, but a joyful time as we reflect on God’s glory and His perfect plans.

We pray for God’s richest blessings on the Cooks, and on Osterville Baptist Church.  We are also eager to see what God will do in the lives of His children, whom we pray all that are reading this are numbered among.that glorious group of the redeeemed!
